Borders Unlimited

Why do borders matter so much? The series, Borders Unlimited, explores the notion of human beings as territorial creatures. Although we strive to remove barriers for example to trade, we are in fact constantly building walls, defining boundaries and drawing lines that both physically and metaphorically define and shape our lives and the lives of others. These ever-present borders separate private from public with each denoting the limits of permission, dictating what’s allowed and what’s not. For some, borders are a positive necessity for others they represent a challenge. In Borders Unlimited, I take a closer look at the borders around us that we typically take for granted and explored the feelings and responses that these evoke.
